I am pleased to announce that, based on a strong showing of support for the preservation of the Park and an agreement with the Bostwick Lake Association, Cannon Township has concluded its review of the Bostwick Lake Park and will no longer be considering alternatives to its current use. The Association has agreed to take responsibility for the general upkeep of the park and to serve as point on maintenance concerns. Concerns will be communicated between the Association’s president and the Township’s Parks & Rec Committee. The township will maintain ownership of the Park and continue to provide lawn service, structural maintenance as suggested by the Township’s engineers, and other services as agreed to with the Association.
I thank all of those who provided constructive and insightful feedback during this process. As is our custom, the Township Board listened and it acted.
