Join us for the grand opening of the brand new Pickleball Courts at Cannon Township Hall in Rockford, MI! Donate to a great cause and be the first to play on the brand-new courts.

Get ready to show off your pickleball skills and have a blast with friends and fellow enthusiasts. This in-person event is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the arrival of this exciting addition to our community. Whether you are a seasoned player or new to the game, everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the fun for a great cause.

On Saturday October 7th the Cannon Township Fire Department will be hosting their annual Fire Department Pancake Breakfast to raise money for the Great Lakes Burn Camp. Breakfast will be held between 8:00 am and 10:00 am. The ribbon cutting of the new pickleball courts will be held at 10:30 am. We are looking for foursomes to donate $200 or more to enjoy the first play on the courts. Each foursome will be given two hours to enjoy the brand-new courts. All the money raised at the event will be donated to the Great Lakes Burn Camp. This offer is limited to only 16 foursomes (10:30 slot, and 12:30 slot). These slots will sell out fast. The first sixteen foursomes to contact Todd Olson at todd.olson.home@gmail.com will be selected to play. Please include your full name and phone number in your email. Checks to be made out to “The Great Lakes Burn Camp.”

Since 1995 the Great Lakes Burn Camp has worked to provide a unique experience that promotes healing, self-esteem, confidence and general well-being for burn injured children. Their goal is to provide unconditional love and acceptance to all burn survivors that attend their camp. They are dedicated to creating a safe space for campers to grow and bond with other burn survivors.

Please help us spread the word… The courts are still curing so they will not be ready to be played on until Saturday October 7th. Anyone using the courts before then could potentially damage the surface and the township will have to redo the courts, potentially delaying the opening.

Do not miss out on this incredible event, for an incredible cause, which promises to be filled with laughter, friendly competition, and a whole lot of pickleball excitement. See you there!
